best year for mods???

so, what is the best year of the 3rd gens to modify. manual or auto doesnt matter to me. want 500hp/1000tq with minimal towing/hauling, i figure a box would be included with this setup and could be turned off if needed. let me know what you guys think and WHY...

i do love my 1st gen though, 22mpg at 65mph! just trying to get some heads-up on the 3rd gens...

thanks in advance, Pat

Best mod potential (IMO) is any 305/555. You'll be modifying either drivetrain with that much power, so its up to how you'lluse the truck. If your dragracing it (street or strip), you'll prolly want a pretty stout automatic. If your just towing and driving it around, I like the manual.

How did you get your Big Red licensed for street use?

I'd like to street legalize my 85 ATC 250r.
