unless you send the quad in to get timing removed, you will have too much timing, which raises cylinder temp and pressure, which will burn pistons, and pop hD gaskets.
Gotcha. That's what I thought but the referrence to "5" in your post confused me a little.

I was going to start a new thread about stacking and timing, but since it's on-topic for this thread I'll go ahead here...

If I stacked the Smarty on even numbers with an XZT (regular tune), would the XZT provide enough timing for the overall power? I think they both provide "dynamic" timing, but I'm wondering if the XZT is limited on the amount of timing it will do since it's only rated for 65hp?

dont have any experience with the xzt.
i know that the smarty on 8 got me 447hp, and the quad race on 140, brought me up to 505. but that is because my cp3 was tapped out for volume.

That's good info to know, thanks.

One more question if you don't mind. Did you notice a difference with the EGT's when the Quad was turned on?

I am wanting to get on the dyno in the next month and what settings should I run my bullydog and ez on? Bullydog right now is on crazy larry and ez on level 1. I didnt know how much I could move the ez up without timing issues. Looking for the best pull I can get. Thanks.

stock, the egt's are lower. the quad raises them slightly, but they are mangageable with my turbo. the smarty wild raises them slightly too. the smarty beta lowered them. this is towing.

The EZ is a pressure only box, you wont be adding timing just pressure. There are guys running them both to the max....

It's kind of hard to justify the pricetag of the TST now that the VA C5 is coming out for around the same price.
