It depends on what supporting mods you have...

My truck= tst/bully dog, sps66, hts tranny, GDP fuel system, stock injectors, stock cp3 = 659hp

Another good truck that comes to mind is lmills...

twins, flux injectors, cam, smarty, sp diesel pressure box = 730hp

As far as downloaders go, there have been alot of good numbers with the Bully Dog and the Smarty.

If your not into downloaders the tst is a great box. I'm still confused to which way I would go if I had to start over.

I started out with tst. Great box. Then I added the Crazy Larry. For my truck it was the ultimate stack. The I took the bully dog off and loaded the Smarty and I have had some problems ever since.(timing issues mainly)...

Personally, If I was wanting to go the 110% safe route I would get a tst. If I was wanting to test my luck I would try a downloader. There is a variety of downloaders... It's like picking your poison. Somebody has had a problem with every downloader out there. Also, Not all truck respond the same to any given stack.

Luken, Sorry to hear of all the trouble you've had with the Smarty. I was ready to try it...until I started reading about your experience with it. I've got the HOT Juice now but I really want more bottom end than it produces so the Smarty sounded good.

I think that the smarty and the hot juice might be a very good combo,, I know that the hot juice and the predator is. And the smarty should give more options than the predator.

Does the Predator add more bottom, or off-idle response when used with the HOT Juice?

oh yeah, I havent had much chance to do any testing, but I have my predator set to the middle (I think it is called performance) and adjust my juice accordingly,, and woah, it is awesome

I dont see why not, the smarty has alot of options with its cAtcher software. They different things. I havent tried it yet,,,, but I think that I will here in the near future, (probably after the snow and cold is gone) But to be honest I have no,, not one complaint with my current stack

With 3rd gens there really isnt any cut an dry answer as to what is the BEST.

It seems every other day someone come here and askes THE SAME EXACT QUESTION.

And the answer is ALWAYS the same. It depends on what your goals are. Everone has a different opion, its not like 2nd gens. There's a dozen chips and progrramers and they can all be stack and combined for different results. There is expensive ones and afforable ones.

Try a search, there is litterely hundreds of threads on spefic elecronics. Some people have one and other people triple stack, it all depends on how far you want to go and what works best for your truck.

I chose the Smarty since it undectable by dealer and gives great throttle responce, clears codes, adjust for tire size, and stacks well with others.
