Best Box

Has anybody done this on a Dodge? It would be very helpful to actually see which box performs the best on a Dyno.

Doug's matrix has a lot of info like this. I don't think it was all done on a single dyno though...

Those results are pretty interesting. I don't know about Ford's, but almost all of those peaked their hp and torque at over 3000 rpm. I thought the low end rpm results were more useful, unless you drive your truck taching 3000 rpm all the time. I'm curious to see how they compare performance stats on the Dodge, too.

Weatherbyman,

We just did the Ford 6.0 Powerstroke Dyno shoot out here in Nashville, we ran each module that the manufacturers woudl provide and ran them in the same truck on the same dyno on the same day. We would be willing to do that here again for the Dodge owners too! We would need someone to take the bull by the horns and promote it here, send e mail and or calls to the manufacturers and acquire products. DPPI will secure the dyno and set up hotels and such, we will even host an open house on Friday, and then Saturbday is the dyno event etc.

The Performane Garage dyno is 750.00 for the entire day, we were able to supplement that thruough the manufacturers almost totally. So if someone wants to take that on when they call for test products it goes hand in hand. We can also ask for an entry fee from attendees if you want but it's more fun and guaranteed to be paid if you get the manufacturers to chip in 100.00 or so each etc. The only other thing is we need a reasonably low mileage late model Dodge that can be on the dyno for the event. Usually they get a free module of their choice etc. In fact most of the manufacturers donated their products as door prizes as an attraction to have a lot of members there. TS Performance gave each 6.0 owner that attended one of their modules!!!!!

If you or anyone else is interested in being the ring leader to help get this going let me know and we'll have a Dodge Dyno Shootout again.

Just broke 4500 miles on the ole dually today, let me know when and we can run her on the dyno, all that has been done to it is cat test pipe and no muff, plus the quad chip of course but that doesnt matter.

Come on somebody grab the bull by the horns and line this thing up, wether yall wanna run mine on the dyno or not doesnt realy matter, just offering up a truck, however, what ever truck is on the dyno I would definately like to see an event like this and be in attendance.

wap,

All we need is someone to "organize" it on the site with follow up messages to the membership and contact the manufacturers for products and donationd to cover the dyno costs! DPPI will do the rest as far as Dyno time set up, motels listing etc etc.

Mark

I am still a newbie to this forum and dont know if I would be the person for the job as I dont realy know who to contact, I personaly think someone "higher up" than myself would be better suited but I would be willing to do anything I can to promote this, I quess I need some more instruction, as I stated before I am definately willing to run my truck on the dyno, or not, I just thought it would be a good truck for an apples to apples comparison. Keep me posted I will do what ever I can just forgive me for my ignorance in organizing such events

Man, I would love to get into it and help, but I really couldn't be any further away as I live in Seattle. If we can arrange something up here, I will donate my truck to do the testing.
