Basic mods for 150K miles now? thoughts?

have an absolute gem of a truck- did bearings, brakes, recalls, ect.

2004 3500 5.9 SRW 4wd off road pkg, B frame upgrade for heavy tow pkg.

highway use to heavy loads, heavy tows about 6 times a year. off road every week for forestry use.

it is at 150,00 miles and I was wondering what basic modifications would you guys do at this point?

this currently is as stock as it gets...no issues at all. want to prolong engine life, and getting 19-22 mpg with clean, lubricated injectors.

thnx guys,
heidi

Probably just continue with the maint. on it and if anything, go to a better filter system for the fuel.

I've got an '04 with 223,000 on it.

Not sure what modifications you're interested in, but you are way overdue for an aftermarket lift pump just to keep it running. Mine failed at 68,000 miles.

As far as I'm concerned, the stock shocks were bad right from the factory. get a set of Bilsteins or KYBs. The safety and handling difference will surprise you.

I've rebuilt the front end including ball joints (twice), track bar, shocks (twice), '08 steering linkage, and adjusted the steering box twice now. At 100,000 miles it was staring to get pretty loose.

I also went to Dynatrac hubs at about 100,000 miles , but I'm not sure I'd recommend them.

I've got about 180,000 miles on my Smarty now and recommend it highly. Better mileage, better throttle response and (important for me) more power. Stock is fine too.

Another cool modification is to upgrade the CD player (when the stock one fails) with a unit with a front USB port. A simple flash drive with hundreds of tunes is hard to beat.

Wet Okole seat covers.

Console Vault for safely storing guns, money or other valuables.

Don't forget to install a fun hood ornament.
