I just did all 4 BJ on my 02 tonight. I replaced the moog with xrf, nice looking parts. Install went well. 3 out of the 4 BJs were shot and the 4th on the way out. I really haad a horrible time with the stupid wheel bearings though! I was ready to snap!

yes i used a BJ installer borrowed from Canadian Tire, Powerbuilt I think was the name. worked good, huge headache pulling the wheel bearings though. both were siezed in place like no other! good luck! PS be patient, its bad enough fixing mechanical failures, dont make it worse by losing your temper!

Fortunately, I have already removed the hubs when I installed the Free Spin Kit.(U Joints were a bear though).......so it should go fine. I was going to install Daynatracs, but the price of the XRF BJs is tempting.......was layed off last May.....so.

Just installed the XRFs yesterday, mechanic told me it took him about 4-5 hours for both sides. He charged me $380 cash to install them and turn the rotors and install brake pads, labor only obviously.

He said the factory ones weren't "too too bad", which differed from NTB near Kema, TX telling me they were shot 40K miles ago and needed around $1000 to replace them....

I haven't driven the truck myself to see if my mild wondering/slack problem has been fixed.

Yeah I've heard you should use the factory wheel bearings. The aftermarket ones don't hold up well supposidly.

I bought a press kit from NAPA, as well as their ball joints last summer when I did mine. Was in a pinch and had to do them right away. Kit worked well. Ball joints seem fine so far, only about 10000kms on them though. 3000 of those kms was towing 17K.

Had to fight with unit bearings as well. Used the power steering/socket on the bolt trick.
