Audio experts: Stereo/Speaker questions

My right front speaker is crackling and I was looking to replace at minimum the front two, but hopefully all four.

1. Does anyone know the wattage rating on the factory standard single disc with the auxiliary jack?

2. Does the factory standard deck have enough power to push Polk db691 or db651s?

3. If needed what would the recommended minimum Amp output be for these speakers?

Polk dbs691 (6x9)
RMS 10-100 watts
Peak 300 watts

Polk db651s (6.5)
RMS 6-55 watts
Peak 165 watts

From: northern california,
if you have the inffinity system there is a amp built in to it. the front speakers are called seperates. the tweeter/ high side is in the dash. the door 6x9 is only a midrange speaker. I had a set of kicker 3 ways in the door and would only get midrange sound from them. I think i tossed my stock ones otherwise i would let you have them. I will double check. I changed my whole system out and went aftermarket. It sounds a 100% better.

From: northern california,
I put the pioneer 5 way 6x9 in front and the 4 way's in back. they sound great. They can handle the stock radio.

If you have the basic 4 speaker stereo, adding 3.5" speakers in the empty spots on the dash will make a much bigger difference than replacing the rear 6.5" speakers. You can install the dash speakers in series with the front 6x9" speakers without stressing stock head unit. You will notice how terrible the power output of the stock stereo is when you install decent aftermarket speakers such as the Polk speakers you listed.

Those Polk speakers don't need much power but will have depth and sound clean with around 50w RMS power to each. The stock stereo will power them but it will still sound flat.
