i am going witha new turbo with an external wastegate, does anyone know a good shop that can fabricate and external wastegate pipe/mounting provision on my ATS manifold? i have seen several manifols done this way just never go info on who did the work. there are no fabricators in my town with the skill that can do this job. any info would be great.thanks

 

Easiest way to do it is with a spacer. The spacer has an oval shaped hole in it that the blow off valve or wastegate is welded to. It just goes between the turbo and manifold and is about an 1 1/2" thick. Then you have to make some exhaust piping for it to dump into the down pipe.

This isn't exactly back yard mechanic stuff unless you have fabrication skills and a good welder.

 

i saw that set up, Eds external wastegate is that way, i would rather have the wastegate on the manifold vs. a spacer,but thanks
