Qzilla,

Will the Quad MMM leave a trace if we take it into the dealership to have it worked on? If so would the way it manipulates the computer to get better fuel mileage void our warranty?

Thanks in advance

Thumbs up First Trip Results

Okay...I managed to get in one road trip. From Canon City, CO, over Monarch Pass to Montrose, CO, and back to Canon City (same station, same pump) 382.0 miles took 19.14 gallons to refill. By my math that's so close to 20mpg I can't tell the difference. For those not familiar with the trip, it's a twisty two-lane state highway that runs over an 11,300ft pass. Speeds range from 35-70, and traffic is pretty light. The route takes you through 3 small towns with stop lights and cross traffic, so there's a small amount of city driving as well. The pass is 14 miles of 6-9% grade (about 7 miles each side of the summit), and it curves a fair amount, so fifth gear was necessary in a few places. I was also curious about EGT at 11K feet elevation so I pulled a few full-throttle romps in sixth gear that couldn't have helped the mileage any. (Side Note: Thin air equals really high EGTs, really quickly ). Previous mileage average for three earlier trips to Montrose was 17.3mpg, but the first trip was when I only had 1400 miles on the truck. Throw out that first trip and the average for the other two is 18.4, which means I saw an increase of 1.6mpg, or 8.6% depending on your preference. Overall, I'm pretty happy. Hopefully I'll see even better results if I can keep it on (mostly) level ground.

Are you sure it has not shipped? I know it can take a little while to go across the border sometimes.

I don't know who you bought it from but, you might pm and I might be able to help you?

I haven't sent the tracking number because I still have not received it from Quadzilla. I received confirmation of the order back in the middle of October, but beyond that I have no info.

Dwayne ordered one around the same time you did, I see that both orders were sent to Quadzilla a week apart but I do not have a tracking number for your order. I can't tell you where it is because I never received it from Quadzilla.

I saw the name manke on that tracking number and figured it was yours. I will call Quadzilla tomorrow and try to find out what the deal is on this.
