Is there any HP gain? What about loss? I know it`s for mpg but does it do anything to power?

This sounds intriguing. I'm holding off until a couple of people here actually get one. I know from past experiences that I have yet to see a mileage improvement from any product that claims it. If they worked like they said it would, my truck would be getting 25 mpg by now.

I should probably order one of these and the guarantee helps to ease my mind but I would still like to know HOW it works and what real world results are compared to the always overly optimistic manufacturers claims.

I agree with you Coolslice BUT I can say that every Quad box I have ever owned has given me a 1 mpg increase on the 60hp setting. I've had a couple of them over the years.
I want a box that will give me 500hp, Great mileage, no smoke, and won't strain the fuel system or transmission! That's what I'm waiting for now.....

Shouldn't be a noticeable power increase, maybe a tad bit but, maybe. There definatly wont be any power loss. The real gains should be in your mpg. If you do get the itch for a little extra "omph" then for a reasonable fee you can upgrade your M3 to the XZT via a USB download, and that will give you three settings off-mileage-70hp. Its not traceable (doesnt leave a "footprint") by a dealer, so as long as you dont take it in with the module in it you should be ok, but that makes it your responsability to remove the hardware before taking it in. As far as codes go, i dont think quadzilla would send out modules that they know set codes, now every scenerio is different and of coarse there isolated cases, but generally speaking of coarse it wont set codes. Hope that helps.

I will be watching this thread close, I am very intersted in this module. Does it boost fool? What about running it with a boost fooler? I am looking for a LITTLE more power and more importantly a drop in EGT's.

I ordered one this week. Will post results.

One thing I noticed though - quad's claim for # of miles until costs are recovered, given mileage gains, is wrong.

Given 14 MPG average (about what my truck gets), a 12% increase (best case?) brings me up to 16 MPG.

Over 4,000 miles, that saves me 30.6 gallons of fuel, which, at $2.75/gallon, saves $83 and change. It would actually take around 9,000 miles to recover costs fully given 12% gains in fuel efficiency.

Who cares? As long as there are actually gains, I'll wait the extra 5K miles. Free module!

I have the edge /att on a 06 ,it will give you give you maybe 1 mpg over stock on level 1 ,but i can drive on level 3 and get stock mileage 20mpg at 70-75 ,with oversized tires,if you want to drive like a little old --- you can save your money on a module and easily gain 2-3 mpg WHY WHY ????

Well we need to know HOW this thing works. Does it add any pressure, timing, etc. Im sure several people would be interested in stacking it with other modules or programmers

it does not add pressure what quad customer service said it is just pretty much timing.
