They told me 2 weeks to get a set, I would like to know exactly how wide the tread is to know if it is worth waiting for???? The BF site shows the sidewall width is 10 but doesnt tell you how wide the tread is. My cooper 265's are 8.25 wide, as long as the BF's are within a 1/2" of that they would be great! I just hate to put on a really skinny tire like the 235's....

 

I saw a set of 33x10.50's and they were not 235 narrow... 33x10.50's are the flotation version of the 255/80.

 

AH64ID, That sounds good! I just hate to order a set and wait 2 weeks to get them and be unhappy with them. I definately like the mud-terrain km2 just hope it is almost as wide as the 265/70 's that I am running????

 

Should be about 10mm or .4" narrower.

 

My 265/70's are a 10.5 sidewall and the tread width on them is 8.25, I dont know if the 255/80's are close to that or not??? Hopefully someone will chime in and let us know for sure

2 weeks is nothing for a tire that you will run for 30+K miles..

 

AH64ID, I don't mind waiting 2 weeks for them as long as they aren't too narrow for my liking. That's why I am hoping someone that already has a set on their rig will measure the tread witdth and let me know.

 

Gotcha.. They will be narrow its that style tire.

 

There 7.25" wide at the tread (ground contact width)

Good deal. The tread on my 285's is 9.5, so 2.25" narrower isn't too bad.

 

Diesel Junkie, did you ever get any pics of them on your truck?

 

Just checking back in to see if anyone else has bought a set of these new BFG's yet? I havent't decided yet on if I should wait 2 weeks to get them or not???? Just don't want them to be too narrow??????
