you can get the same size toyos that are in my sig in a load range E and they last a pretty long while

 

I had 295/70/17s, with 2'' spacers in the duals.

 

How do the BF's compare on height? Do they do good in mud?

 

I dont know, maybe a inch shorter. Seem easier to turn on the highway to. Not as much mass. Theyll do good in the mud, alot tread there, they should clean well to. I havent had a chance to try them out yet.

 

Thanks for the pictures! They look good! MY concern is how the blocked outer tread holds up to our heavy flatbed dually! The ability our stock wheels give us to rotate may help some, but im worried I will have to rotate every 5,000 miles to keep them from cupping on the shoulder like i did on my old bfg m/t's on my 2002 7.3 f-250.
If i felt like i could get the miles out of them i did with my last set of BFG muds (93k) I would be all over them, I have heard in the rockcrawling community they are a softer tread compound, but thats a rumor?

I still need a taller (somewhat skinny) tire or some taller gears, It still looks like gears might be the best option.

 

Does anyone have any idea how many miles these BF's are going?

 

I currently have a set of 265/70/17 cooper stt's and have a little over 40,000 miles, but they are just about done. For a m/t 40-50,000 is not too bad in my book. I would buy another set of these, but would just like something taller, but still wider than the 235's without running a spacer.

 

I think they are too new to tell..

That great considering my Toyo AT's are about done at 32k.

 

Why not just get a spacer? I'm running 35/12/5-R17 Open Country MT's on my dually with a 2" spacer. Load range E, great aggressive tire and siped so they don't suck in the winter.

55,000km so far and wearing well.

 

So the back tires are covered by the fender

 

I haul way too much weight to run a spacer, usually between 25-32,000lbs. Just don't feel comfortable with the idea.

Thanks for the pics BlueDually. I've been waiting to see what they looked like on a dually. Looks like I found my next set of tires. A little taller but no need for a spacer in the back.

 

I got 66k on my stock 235/80 generals. Since im a cheap **** i met a guy and got another set of takeoff generals with 10k or so on them as well as a full factory exhaust system for 350 bucks. I think I am going to change them out at 70k.

If someone would ever come out with a 255/80-17 in a more highway friendly tread that can take some weight i will be all over it.

MY old powerstroke with the 35 bfg muds that went 93k...I towed 5-15k fairly often, but that truck wasnt as front heavy as mine, and i rotated them every 5000 miles

Im just scared of buying these bfg's being softer and not being able to take the weight.
