Definately get a 4 wheel alignment to make sure your tracking is ok, and also get them to set it at max positive caster
can't do a 4 wheel align on these trucks. They use the two rear heads for reference.

Checkout member ASHNBAK photo gallery. He has the 1.5" lift on a dually.

Badram,
In your picture gallery, at the bottom of the picture you will see the photo properties listed. For the UBBCode cut and paste the line with into your message box.

for a 1.5" lift, it sure looks good. Pretty much what I'm expecting. Back a few months ago I believe cummins600 showed pic's of his 2" lift that looks exactly like your 1.5" lift. For some reason, the pic's of the two vehicles in this post with the same size lift do not look the same. Maybe just the angle the pic was taken or something. Anyone else notice this?

word of caution 1 1/2 doesnt level the truck but they do take out the big rake to look better , I and my bro inlaw installed these at the dealer he works at and the alignment went well but if you were to use the 2 1/2 spacers there is not enough adjustment to get it right allthough the 2 1/2's would give the level look , to me it would not be worth the bad handling esp. during towing. I am happy with this and the tires fit no problem , kinda was a chance on tire size since most go with 285's on 2 wd , I'm glad I did it...Now if I could fig out the right r.p.m. i'd be set.

P.s. thanks mikeyb

Thumbs up

Understand, I was'nt expecting the complete level look, just removing some of the rake and the 1.5" lift does just that. I do not want to replace the a-arms, ball joints or go with extended shocks associated with 2+ inch lifts because of the cost and possible poor handling issues. I've mentioned/written before that I like the Pre-Runner look, without all the added expense of 4wd and if DCX would offer it as an option I believe it would sell quite well.

Banshee,
Are you planning to keep the stock tires or go to a larger size after the lift?

Right now the stock tires still look new, even with 36k on the clock. I try to maintain my tires for as long as I can. I dont have alot of disposable income right now with a wife and daughter taking college classes. But, I'd like to go up one tire size or stay stock and put on either a set of BFG's, yokahamas, bridgestones or nitto's. Not sure, but I am staying with 17" rims to avoid the whole speedo recal issue. It's still pretty hard to find OEM size fitment in a tire design that is AT/load range E.
