Question Anyone install Daystar lift blocksl

Ok gents question
I got my set of 1.5" lift blocks in yesterday, now I need to find out the easiest way to get this done. I prefer to tackle the job myself, but taking the entire front end apart does'nt sound like a job I want to do. Any pointers? Can I just remove the front shocks, compress the springs and slide them in? As it stands I do not have all the correct tools to remove the front end components correctly.

Jack up the front end a little ways, take off tires. Put jackstands on frame, and ease the jack out. Make sure you have it pretty high. Make SURE that the jackstands are secure. Then, unbolt shocks(may be eaiser when it is still on the ground). Then, one side at a time, step on the hub, and bring that side of the axle down the correct amount. May help to have a buddy do this, but slip the spacer in there, if you do it right, you will have room. Then, do the other side, same way. We did this on a buddys 1500 dodge, should work out easy. Then, bolt everything back up, and put on tires. Wa-la-done. Hope this will help you out some, this is the easiest way we have found to do this.

Thanks,
after reading the mfg supplied instructions (generic) I started to think what have I got myself into. From what you have supplied, I sorta wondered if I could do it that way. Definately want to hear from others that have done the job. I just don't want to send the springs thru the qtr panel or have the front end fall because I did'nt do something right.

Agreed it is not really that big of a job. My shocks wouldn't unbolt so I cut them off and put new ones on.
ALIGNMENT AFTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will have to remove the sway bar end links also to let the axle fully drop.
Definately get a 4 wheel alignment to make sure your tracking is ok, and also get them to set it at max positive caster

This is a 2wd drive model. One of the ball joints need to be removed before the lower control arm is dropped.

I did mine yesterday , piece of cake , drop the shock , upper ball joint on spindle and push down it's that easy , then have someone slip it in and lift spindle back into upper ball joint with a floor jack , Done , by the way 2 wd can run 305/65/17's with no rub issues with 1 1/2 spacers 6 1/2 tire to fender front and 8 in the rear full lock no rub aftermarket wheels.Alignment is a must it was pretty far out .

Sounds like you have it all figured out. Definately will look at trying your method. Hopefully it will stop raining soon so I can get the blocks and tank vent done before my house slides down the hill into the pond in my back yard. Post some pic's of your install.
