Anyone here using a Transgo shiftkit?

I was looking at throwing a Transgo Shift kit into my truck to help the life of the trans (mainly used as a commuter truck, but does tow heavy a dozen times a year). I have searched a ton and read about a few installs (but they didn't seem to work very well). Does anybody running one in a 05-06 truck?

I know the instructions are pretty detailed but im not expert mechainc and i wouldn't try this on my own. I'm going to a certified Goerend installer who suggested the TransGo with some various other accesories(servos, bands, lever) also. When i go in to change my tranny fluid at 30k maybe 25k if i get ancy i'll write up a report on it as it will be my only other tranny mod besides a deep dish tranny pan.

Suncoast uses a transgo shift kit for their valve body

It works great, gets the turbo barking.

I ran just a Transgo shift kit in a stock trans with the direct clutches toasted for 15k until it tore the seals on the piston. Went coast to coast twice towing a trailer and it was still working fine even with most of the material gone of 4 of the clutches. Pressure is a wonderful thing.

Do you recall what it cost to have the shiftkit installed? Do they need to pull the trans? Thanks for the info BTW!

Transgo is a very good kit. They work well, I had one before I went with my new trans and it shifted great. We put one in my dads 07 and it hunted bad and I hated it, but they came out with an update and now it is flawless.

No need to pull the trans, just drop the VB.

The guy that did mine charged $100 and I did all the R&R. I could have done it myself but figured the $100 was an education fee.
