I bought my Silverline Turboback 3 months ago and LOVE it....MINUS the fact that the parts seem to move apart after a bit...specifically I have to loosen the hangers occasionally, push the exhaust pieces back together, re-tighten and every so often even have to replace the hanger pieces back into the hangers themselves...there have been a couple occasions now where I have noticed my exhaust hanging lower than it should be and had to do some "maintenance" throughout the system to get it retro-fit back to like it should be...any feedback?

Did you use power tools to tighten the clamps, or hand tools? You can't get 'em tight enough with hand tools.

 

Yeah, I used hand tools...but I tightened so tightly that I was lifting myself off the ground trying to tighten and I weight about 210. Power tools, with angleing the hangers and the bolts towards the top of the truck (like you would want) won't fit...so the only solution based on what you are saying is to angle the bolts on the hangers to the bottom...correct?

That is correct, then hammer them with an impact.

 

I had to use the impact wrench on my muffler delete in order to get the clamps tight enough that they wouldn't move...

 

Never had a problem with mine, there welded, I think it looks cleaner than clamps. And if I ever want to remove it, sawzall.

 

You could angle to the side. It doesn't matter which direction it's facing.

Or you could weld it too...

 

I used stainless steel band clamps on my exhaust, more surface area to clamp on, plus they do not crimp the pipe, so if one had the need to take the exhaust off its easy to do. I got them from a local truck shop for about $15-18 also the pipe does not move arround.
