I think that no matter what year, what make/model of truck you get there are going to be problems, I've never seen nor do I antisipate a perfect truck. Way too many people to please everyone and the bottom line is these things are built and designed by humans (to some extent) so there are gonna be problems not too mention the parts are sourced from the lowest bidder...

For example, I think the HVAC in these trucks stink and so do many others on here but there are several folks that don't have any problems and actually like them..

I agree. The original poster asked about the 06's, and some of the issues on that list are all too common for the 06's. Which is what he was asking. The tachs, the little red hose, etc... Thats all I was saying.

 

Funny, I find the seats quite comfortable. I'm 6'3" 190#.
Paint job stinks (thin!) and the interior is kinda cheap but no real complaints.

Weatherguard floormats rock and are a must-have IMO.

 

Yep my 06 been pretty good so far. Blend door had issues fixed under warranty, AC could be better. My GM's always had the coldest air of anything I've owned. No machanical issues so far that weren't cause by me.

I hate the seats. Thay are uncomfortable and will stain when they contact air. My recirc door broke off as well. That are my only issues.
The coolant hose leaked also , I tightened it a little , so I wont count that.

 

I've had the coolant hose leak on both my '05 and '07 trucks.

 

I love my 06, but i also loved my 01 as well. No problems here except for the recirc door which was a easy fix. Id say if ya like it when you test drive the truck, then get it.
