Another stacking question
Another stacking question
I asked this question a while back and didn't really get a for sure answer or not one that I understood at the time. So here I go again.
Bottom line is I have an XZT towing box on my 2006 and just have never been happy with performance and mpg's are not anything to brag about. I've seen a lot about the Smarty JR and it all seems good. Is it a feasible option to stack the XZT and Smarty Jr or just dump the XZT and use the Smarty? What I do with the truck is minor towing, around 7K lbs and down once in a while. Mostly it's a daily driver and obviously for either I want good mpg's but also don't want to be the slow poke up the hill.
I've talked to Quadzilla and they won't upgrade my box to one of their better ones. I don't have gauges and this truck is an auto. I'm pretty **** on maintenance and have a few mods but nothing out of this world.
Thanks,

The Quad adds pressure and timing, and Smarty Jr. adds timing. If you get the Smarty Jr., ask Quad if the timing can be removed from your XZT. Then they will stack nicely.
I'm running Quad race and Smarty (full version) on even settings and it runs like a champ. No significant mileage increase though.

The Smarty Jr will be a great box for you, I wouldn't stack anything with on it with a stock tranny though. If you don't see yourself doing some tranny upgrades soon, I would say sell the XZT and use that money to buy at least a pyro. The Jr has incredibly low egts but it is always good to have a pyro, especially when towing.
