Banks Stacking Question
I just did it. Used 90 hp setting on dowloader and run banks on level 6. EGT's 1280 max unloaded and truck runs great. 1/4 mile time up about 8 mph over Bank's alone. Kept Bank's at stock setting when I downloaded it and then bumped power up from there.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to confirm that it could be done before purchasing one. I really did not want to screw up the Banks system by doing it either. Do you have any codes? What was your max boost? Is it a big difference over the Banks by itself? Also noticed you have a Hi-Ram, how do you like it, did it make a difference in any of your numbers? Thanks again.

As far as the Hi-Ram goes-maybe a little horsepower increase and a little EGT reduction. Boost usually maxs about 32lbs and closer to 39 at sea level. Now have about 500 miles on the downloader-Banks combo all very trouble free. Do notice the clutch starting to slip a little though. Guess I'll need to call Southbend next and maybe get a FASS system too.

When you installed your programing with the six gun did you have to physically remove the six gun off the truck then program and then reinstall the six gun or did you just turn off the six gun and program it? Only reason I am asking is because the guy I ordered it from said he thinks it is nesessary to remove the whole thing, go back to stock reprogram and then add the six gun back on the truck. That's a lot of work that can be saved if I don't have to do it. Thanks again.

I left my Six-gun on exactly as it was.
I did turn it back to stock setting before programming though. I now find that it is best to leave my Bank's on a 5 setting most of the time. This keeps my temps below 1250, while level six has hit 1300 once or twice now. I'm really wanting to try the extreme program, but someone else can be the guinia (sp) pig for that one. And besides I really will need a clutch first. I know all the power is not making it to the ground now.

So you run it on #5 (Banks) with the 90HP(BDPP) program right now and you still dont have EGT issues?
My Banks runs VERY low on EGTs, I almost wonder sometimes if my guage needs to replaced again. I've changed it out once but I find it hard to believe I would have two bad probes and guages in a row, actually, I find it impossible. I can only get 1000-1100 degrees at WOT on #6 right now with the LP on. A BDPP is on the way and should have it by early next week. Thanks again for all of the information. I'll be your test dummy for the extreme program, I will do testing and let you know how it goes. I will be stacking the two (Banks & BDPP) but also dialing in my propane once I setup the programmer with the box. I have to still be able to use safely for towing and keep my EGTs in check so it will be interesting.
