All I wanna do is tow, not race.

A lot of the info on this forum is about wringing every bit of gear breaking hp out of a truck. I don't care if I ever do a burnout or race another truck. I want a good , economical, no footprint leaving programmer for my '07 6.7 liter truck. I've been looking into the superchips, and hypertech units. Can anyone tell me if they work very well, and if they leave a footprint. Smarty isn't available yet, and I don't think the bullydog is either. The Edge is too much $$$. My sig doesn't list it, but the truck is a 6 speed manual transmission.

Thanks.

I'd wait for the Smarty. I got one for my 5.9 and it was worth it. Like you, I tow allot and the Smarty was good for 1.5 mpg empty and about the same towing.

LOL.... That sounds familiar. Diesel + Programmer = Insanity!

The two you listed arent worth the time and money IMHO. These guy's are right, you get what you pay for with the Smarty Jr., and I'd surely wait for it. The others wont produce as advertised and havent had the R&D time the Smarty has...which I believe to be the safest on your truck.

I would agree on the Smarty however I disagree with the Edge costing too much if you really weigh what you are getting. It offers a lot of nice features rolled into one package. A Smarty Junior and a nice set of guages is going to cost you just as much. And if your towing then yes, you need guages. Haven't seen anything negative said about the Edge for the 6.7 over in the 2007+ forum either. Just some food for thought...
