Which air filter...4" stock or 4" Amsoil Ea189??
Which one would you prefer and why? I am running a 4" napa gold right now with a HD mod, but a friend of mine is running a new Amsoil Ea189 which is the new 4" version. If the Amsoil filters and flows as well, I'm a big fan of having a reusable filter instead of dumping $35 every time I need a new filter. What say you???

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
I'm running the Amsoil Ea189 in the original 2" version and have almost 100k miles on it. I will say I am probably due for a new one but just last week I pulled it to clean it and there was still zero dust post filter! It does seem to plug up faster so I know it's time.
So with that said, I will be ordering another one very soon and recommend them to anybody.

The 4" thick Fleetguard/Cummins/Mopar filter meets all the clean air needs for these engines, even up to 450hp or more. They are relatively inexpensive (at least from Genosgarage), easy to install, need no maintenance except for replacement, and approved by both Chrysler and Cummins to meet the specs needed by the CTD...really why bother with anything else unless you are looking for bling??
