I am sorry to bring this up again, but a friend of mine has a new Volant cold air intake system that he wants to sell to me at a pretty decent price. My truck does see some fairly dusty conditions at times but not all the time. I have done my research and I would prefer the AFE, but this is a good deal. My question is do you guys that I will be okay with this setup or should I bag it? Of course the last thing I want to do is to dust my engine or waste my money!

 

I think you should buy the better AFE, and have him send the Volant to me

I am looking into the Volant right now, and I'll probably replace the oiled filter with an AEM DryFlow.

 

I don't believe AEM makes a dry flow filter to fit the oblong Volant filter. I have a Volant but would like a dry flow for the ease of cleaning.
