Aftermarket Sirius PNP unit with OEM Antenna

Greetings,
Before buying my new 2006 2500 CTD, I had another truck with a sirius PNP unit. I loved being able to see the artist information. Now, I have the OEM radio which has NO artist information, and its driving me crazy. I want to get an aftermarket PNP, but was wondering if anyone has installed one and used the OEM antenna? Will it work correctly? I was hoping to avoid adding another antenna on top. Comments are welcomed.

I'm running an aftermarket sirius tuner and headunit with the factory antenna. I didnt use an adapter, i simply removed the plastic wiring harness around the factory plug and it fit fine. I took a zip tie and secured the factory wire (minus the plastic harness) to the aftermarket tuner.

Just had a stereo installed in my truck and the stereo shop said the actual plug was the same but the plastic locking thing was different. They simply removed it and hot-glued the junction heavily so it can't separate so that I could retain my factory antenna.

Basically, what torrey said!

What year is your truck? The stereo shop said i would need an adapter because i had the older 2 wire antanae and the new ones were a single wire.

I have seen the 2 lead antenna with OEM sirius tuner for sale on ebay. I don't know if I have that system or not, although I did find the tuner (finally) and it looks like only one lead going into it (with the plastic locking clip on the end). However, there isn't much slack in the cable, so even if I could use the end without difficulty, there doesn't appear to be much cable left to play with after it is disconnected. Did you put in a satellite system that is integrated in your HU? Does it perform well? Did you swap out the stock speakers?
