Code 1899 HELP PNP Switch failure???????????
PNP Switch failure. What the heck is that.
Back ground on whats been happening.
Truck was acting like it was going in and out of lockup between 60 and 65. Finally the other day it started hunting between gears and it didnt matter which gear it was in or what speed I was at. Check engine lite came on. Got it home and checked codes and got 122 low voltage signal from APPS.
Did some research and testing and found my Off Idle validation switch was bad in the APPS so made my own bracket and installed a micro switch. Cleaned all the negative terminals and ground connections and every thing seemed ok for a couple days. Then she started hunting from 4th to 3rd again. Did research and found on Timbo's sight a link to ATS for fixing the hunting 4th gear. Redid the wiring and it seems so far so good no hunting of gears. But my cruise control does not work and I got code 1899. PNP Switch failure. What is causing that.

I googled code P1899 and came up with Park neutral safety switch. If that is true, where is that located at, under the dash or on the tranny. Or is PNP switch failure something totally different.
