I have a 08 2500 and I want to put a aftermarket muffler on it but I was wondering if it would void the warranty, I just want to replace the muffler and nothing else, truck has 17,000 miles on it

 

Most dealerships overlook the muffler issue as it's only purpose is to quieten the exhaust tone. Mine was ditched a month after I bought the truck and nothing was ever said about it. But you might just have a stickler for a dealership but personally I wouldn't worry about it.

 

if you have the 6.7 sense i noticed you have an 08 you wont notice any differance. we took 1 off a friends truck and we could not hear any differance

 

Since you have an '08, I'm sure they will void as much of the warranty as possible. On my '06, they voided all of my exhaust warranty for putting a Donaldson muffler on it.
