Did you change yours? which one and why?

im at 200k+ with original fluid and cover still

i change the Rear long ago when i wanted to change fluid, but half of the reason was for the flashy Ram head oasis cover also.

Many miles, knowledge and years later I want reliable performance first.
Seems wierd that all aftermarkets i see are 'soft' aluminium in such a vulnerable spot, but i guess thats a given then. Im rarely offroading anyway, even then, im not rock crawling. Im mostly towing and rarely engage 4wd.

So im looking for more fluid capacity and a magnetic drain. Leaning towards an AFE for similar performance to the mag-hytec at less cost.

 

Mag-Hytec front and rear. They incorporated a thicker, angled bottom for impact resistance and I liked the look. Its not a hardcore offroad vehicle, so I really don't worry about impact damage, anyway.

So much easier to change fluids with these covers and the magnetic dipstick is a great feature.

 

I just swapped out mine sealed it up and installed this.

No, still OEM on diff covers. No need for them. But did install a Mag-Hytec deep transmission pan
