aFe cleaner solution

Where can I buy just the cleaner for the aFe intake filters? I have plenty of oil but ran out of the cleaner. I saw on diesel manor.com they sell the restore kit for $10.99 but I'm just looking for the soap. Thanks.

I've had the K&N (wires truck) and Banks (mine) filters and have tried to find each container or the kit without ordering from the manufactures.

They will always sell it as a kit, seems better for stocking and profit. But I did find out their basically the same. I have ended up using the K&N from the local store and buy extra when I can find a good price. Save the headaches and money and use what's local.

I just use simple green in a 5 gallon bucket, soak the filter, hose it off and let it air dry. I rotate 2 filters.

I also used Simple Green when I had an oiled filter. I sprayed it on, let it sit for about 30 minutes and then rinsed it with water. It worked quite well. John

Me too with the simple green. I also use the hot water from the hot water heater to soak.

Thanks, I found some of the cleaner on Amazon.com for $16.00 with free shipping.

BTW, doesn't simple green break down the filter element over time?

I've been cleaning both of mine with Simple Green for over six years and neither seem to be showing any signs of breaking down that I can see.
