aeromotive fuel pump leak
aeromotive fuel pump leak
My buddy has an aeromotive pump like this one (design) not shure on model on his 3rd gen. http://www.jegs.com/p/Aeromotive/750077/10002/-1
The place he got it from doesnt sell them anymore, and its leaking pretty good. It leaks where the silver meets the red in picture (where the round motor housing meets the square rotor section. Does anyone know if you can take them apart and fix it? I dunno if there is a replaceable seal in there or o ring. Thanks for any thoughts.

These pumps are a copy of the BG pump. If taken apart, they have a small lip seal pressed into the lower housing. I changed my BG pump shaft seal a year ago. Took hours to find the right little seal. I went to a place called "Bearing Belt & Chain" here locally and they pulled out industrial seal catalogs and found one that matched the dimensions. I pressed it in the housing with an arbor press by hand and it's fine still.
Hope this helps.
