anybody tried this muffler yet?? is it as quiet as stock???

 

Had a 4040xl, Not as quiet as stock. Little quieter then a straight pipe.

 

If you are looking for near stock noise level with out the restriction, I have been very happy with the Donaldson 51" I installed. It is a tight fit but it will.
Cost of around 80.00 delivered makes it better.

 

heard alot of good thing about donaldson, but i looking for the most compact n quiet muffler i can find.

 

I have the aero 4040 and it is far from quiet. The xl should be much quieter though. Mine does sound really good though.

 

They have real good rumble to them, not sure on the 3.5" one though.. I would upgrade to a 4" system Instead of spending 125-150 bucks for a 3.5" muffler.. Step up to a 4" straight pipe kit and put the 4040xl in.. you will like the way it sounds..

 

no quiet small compact muffler is made, the 3535xl is noisy and is restricted in the middle to about 3" do your self a favor and at least go with a 4" turbo back with a donoldson 51"
