1. All New smarties are set price
2. To determine the version, turn truck ignition to on position (do not start), plug in smarty, watch the screen, it will show the version number for a couple of seconds

You should update your signiture so we know what truck you have....User Contrl Panel->Signature....
General Guidelines...Level 3 max for stock Auto, Level 5 Max for Stock Stick....these both assume you're going to stay stock and dont want to chance your trans being hurt.....some run higher levels more conservative.....i have an auto, and until my DTT's installed (hopefully soon), it'll never go past level 3....
Other Comments
Aftermarket Injector Versions have less smoke, but somewhat higher egt's
Aftermarket Turbo Software spools the turbo faster and further (e.g. 40+psi)....not great for a stock turbo, but then again, sme people do it....
As long as you dont have another timming adding device ike the rockteck or another box, do not worry about the slight rattle at idle, it's not a big deal....
Start on level 3, with the latest version available on the web....you'll be very impressed and can determine where to go from there....i'm currently testing beta 4.4 (dont know when it'll be released)....and it's even better.....
