Add-a-leaf instead of block?

I have a 1.5" block on the rear of the truck right now,but have been thinking about switching to an add a leaf.Since the block adds leverage and adds to wheel hop witch is not good when I truck pull.

I realize the add a leaf will give a firmer ride but it might help the rear end from squatting while truck pulling.

Has any body had good results with any add a leafs on the market.

Thanks,
Eric

see if you can find a spring specialist. Like some that rebuilds and makes big rig springs and other springs for trucks and just have them re arch the springs you have, you can usually get 2-3" of lift out of it with out getting a stiff ride. if you want the firmer ride they can bend you a spring to put in and it will be around the same price as an add a leaf if not cheaper.

I have a 2"leveling kit with the add a leaf and the truck does sit higher in the rear. I would guess it gave me about 2-2.5"

Call Deaver Springs in Santa Ana, CA. They make their own springs as well as springs for a lot of the performance suspension companies. They know their stuff. I installed a mini pack in my truck which consisted of I believe four springs. It added height as well as a better ride. I am sure it will help when I put a load on the back as well, I just have not had that chance yet!

I went to St Louis spring and had them remake my spring packs and add 2 springs to each side. Wth level kit I bet I still have a good 2+ inches of rake. Oh ya the ride is horrible too but looks good. Also even with the traction bars it seems to have a hard time hooking up on the road or maybe its the 746hp who knows? Can't you just block your suspension solid for pulling or do you have to have 1"?

My skyjacker add-a-leaf has been great as well. Slightly stiffer but barely noticable. I'd say at least 1.5 inches of lift probably more like 2". Over 46,000 miles w/ no issues.
