What's with these knuckleheads in the wife's minivans. Three lanes to two, guy gets on it at the light. I got smarty on level two and Quad on 100hp. By the time I hit 60, he's behind and I'm slowing. Then he falls way back and never tried to catch up. Maybe the wife was beating him with her purse.

The other night I was getting on the freeway. I was in the left lane and a nissan 240sx was to my right and a 98 mustang gt was behind me. They were both reving at each other or maybe both at me. I turned the edge to level 4. Light turned green broke traction around the corner, once I was staight I layed it down. By the time I got to the end of the on ramp I had a 6 truck length lead on both of them. At 80 I let off the pedel, they both did the usual 100 mph fly by. hehehehe I love my truck

I had an SRT-8 Chrysler 300 mess with me yesterday on the way home. Unfortunately I was already going into 4th gear when he blew by my. I mashed the pedal and he didn't get any further ahead but I couldn't reel him in. We got up to around 90mph and let off.

Don't be fooled by all minivans, I was listening to NPR and there are FEW people who have dodge caravans with a factory turbocharged engine.(Very Few Made). Dodge got many complaints of the vans having no power, so they made a few turbo models. There is one guy racing his(slight mods), beating Camaros and mustangs. I don't remember his times, but is was pretty fast. I hope i never run into him....at least not with my current truck.

No lifetime warranty on those tranny's. (Dodge - )

I did beat out a Caravan on an uphill onramp way before I had the Smarty. It was pretty quick for a minivan but with Quad on 100hp I was able to beat him in about a 200 yard sprint.

I think the most suprising for me was this old, beat up 70 something model dodge. I started screwing with him in town with my 96, just smoking a little and things like. We got to a light and we were up front, right before the light turned I hit the pedal and let out a huge cloud of smoke. When the light turned I dropped the clutch and by the time I was in fourth he was 10-12 truck lengths in front of me and still pulling away. I caught up with him and the pos had a built 440 six-pac out of a street legal drag car and was pulling about 900 hp. I was embarassed, and will never underestimate an old truck again.

NOW THAT'S FUNNY RIGHT THERE, I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE!!!

That's why I keep my Banks Power sticker on my truck-- same effect!

I try to keep my truck looking like a sleeper too. Stock wheels, stock exhaust, and two car seats in the back (that's what really gets 'em).

Those stock SRT8 300s run low 13's. He either didn't know what he was doing, wasn't trying, or you are VERY fast!

Probably a combination of all three. The truck IS pretty quick once that turbo spools up. 3rd gear pulls really hard. 4th gear is not bad but I wasn't thinking quick and didn't downshift. I guess I have a problem with those spur of the moment decisions like that....

My dad is a chrysler tech and (back in 1992) bought a traded in 87 New Yorker with a blown/cracked block 2.2 turbo... we couldn't find another 2.2 for it and ran across a great deal on a 2.2 turbo II engine out of a shelby... needless to say, alot of wire grafting, inter cooler install, a higher stall convertor and tranny out of a 2.5 turbo mini van, some bigger injectors and a little more boost and that thing would shut down 95% of the hot rods in town... traction was it's biggest issue since the old man didn't want to stiffen up the suspension and loose his cloud like ride...
