I had a girl who was speaking for her boyfriend (I guess he didn't have the nerve) invite me to race their tundra. If I hadn't have had my 12 year old daughter in the truck with me I would have taken them up on it. She thought my truck was a hemi. I really felt like telling her that since her boyfriend lacked the cods to ask me to race why didn't she come get in the truck with me and I'd send her home with a just pumped the neighbors cat look on her face.

I took my first mustang the other day! Older GT, surprised the heck outta me. I was so happy my wife just put her head in her hands and shook it. I guess it's because I was going YEAH BABY, and patting the dash board. GOD, I love my truck!!!!!!!!! I think I have taken the Tundras though, guy at work said he could take me NOT!

I've got a slightly modded 93 Mustang 5.0 conv in my garage. It's definitely quicker off the line but my truck is quicker once the turbo spools up. I just wish the top went down on the truck... Man! I need a sunroof......

A 15psi 4x4 launch should take care of any lead that 5.0 might have had off the line.

Thumbs up

Jrussell, you do realize that you only trap 96mph, right? That car would be in the 100-103 area. No way you would catch him down track. Get what you can off the line and watch him pass/catch up on the big end.

Yep, it's a pretty low trap speed for 13.86. I wouldn't have to catch him down track, unless he's faster than 13.86. They can trap whatever speed they want, but at the track the race ends at 1/4 mile.

My cousin is big into 'Stangs and has two 5.0's. His daily driver has the usual bolt-ons and it runs around 14.0 (and he can drive very good). I haven't had the chance to run mine at sea level yet, but 13.5 should be no problem. Pretty crazy it's that much faster than his lightly modded 5.0.
