Thinking about purchasing the edge juice with attitude for my 06 QC and was wondering if the attitude will display tranny temps on my truck or will I need to get a separate guage to monitor the trans temp. The salesman told me that the attitude would monitor boost and egt for sure but was unsure if the tranny temp would be displayed, if the tranny temp will not be displayed how will the attitude know when to defuel when tranny slip occurs. One other thing, will the edge display codes if any are tripped and how will it affect warranty? Any info will be appreciated and any input from owners of this product will be appreciated too.-Frog

 

I never thought the Juice/Attitude was available for the 06's.

 

I dont think it is available yet but either way you will need a seperate gauge.

The attitude does not display tranny temp. You will need a separate guage. The others are also right, it is not available for the 06. The injection harnesses are different from 05-06. The attitude monitor is reading tranny slippage from the computer. It does not display codes either, but you can get the codes from the truck's ignition.

As far as warranty goes, ultimately that is between you and your dealer. I took mine off for the one trip I made to the dealer with my 04.5. That trip was for a leaking CP3 and I did not want any questions about it having the injection system modified. I have a spare egt guage, so I removed the juice/attitude and installed my egt guage.

My personal opinion - It works as advertised. Adjustable power on the fly that is noticeable in each level. You will see mileage improvements if you drive rationally. I ran mine at least once at every level. If your tranny is stock, it will slip big time above level 3. In order to maximize what the juice offers, intake and exhaust mods are recommended. I also think Edge has good customer service. Mine threw a code once, and Edge sent me a completely new system. I replaced the juice module and harness and sent them the old one...no problem. We weren't sure the module caused the code, but they still wanted to take care of me.

 

djbikeman, when you say throws a code, are you talking about the check engine light coming on? Also, what other gauge do you use for your backup. I have been wanting to do this since I put it on. Did you splice it into the other temp probe or do you take the edge probe out and put the other one in for when you take it in for service?

 

I have been waiting for edge to come out for my 06 as well. Won't buy anything else, have the edge on my wife's f150 and love it. I can't beleive it doensn't show tranny temp though, my wife's edge on her 150 shows everything under the sun one could imagine. I'm not to worried about it however since i have a hand shaker. Edge originally told me march-april, but still haven't heard anything on them. Hopefully soon .

 

Spoke via e-mail with EDGE and was told that they are still working on the 06 model and hope to have it done soon. He told me that the tranny temp option will not work with the 06 dodge. I spoke with a salesman from Radco and told me that he just installed a juice w/ attitude in a 06 just the other day, I told him what the edge rep told me but he thought I was joking! Anyway, I do not think I will be buying from him when they are available even thought he tried to schedule me to have it installed thid Friday!! I will just wait and watch the website to see when it is available. Ordered my guages today (pryo, trans and boost) from a local shop, he said $505 plus tax installed for all three, sounded cheap so I scheduled it.-Frog
