i love stacks.

I ordered a 6" single bull hauler.

Its LOTS cheaper to buy the parts from a big rig shop and do it yourself....i was quoted $1000 on a Grand Rock 6" dual Bull Hauler Kit.

.....$350 for 7" inch Bull Haulers at the big rig shop.

I paid $150 for my 6" single BH at the local shop with all the pieces.

Hey JD, LOVE the stacks!

Question for you:

You have a 4" lift and 22.5s. I assume you are running a 255/70/22.5 like me. Do you think you could have gotten a 295/75/22.5 on there. It translates to a 40.7/10.7 instead of the 36.9/9.9 we both have. I am curious because I have been contemplating a Kelderman 4" lift.

Ya I think that would be fine the only place I had a clearance problem was on the U bolts and leaf springs in the rear end. I had a 8.25 wide steel rim just like the Alcoa's and was rubbing against the bolts and very very close to the springs. So I had two options run a spacer or find a rare 22.5 x 7.75 rim well I found a set and that solved my problem. I cut off the u bolts just for good measure. Today I bought a steering stabalizer that runs on hydrolics the wheel will not turn unless you ingage the wheel which dosen't allow for any play in the front end. If I where you I would talk to someone who has run the bags or speak to Kelderman to make sure it will fit but if you remember Kelderman has that huge red Dodge that has 22.5 with there bags.

I have been contemplating doing dual 7" mitre cut ALL BLACK stacks. I may do that depending on my EGTs with my setup.

With a 295/75 would I need to go up to a 8.25 rim or could I keep the 7.5s I have on there now ?

Well I am fairly sure you could run the rims you have without any problem, call Les Schwab they can tell you, also don't count on better egt with stacks especially 7'' because they will be so loud that you have to run a muffler to keep the cab noise down. But with Twins you shoulden't have any problem with egt's.

I like the blue truck better. Just kidding JD. One of the reason for me going to the 7" miters instead of the Bulls was because you already set the standard in that department. I went in a diffrent direction. First thing that comes to mind when someone mentions bulls is "JD".

Ya that funny I actually had miter's ordered but they where so far out I changed to my bullhaulers and am glad I did, but I do think the 7"miters would be the best looking. It is funny those stacks are getting alot of attention around here. I hear people talkin about them when I am at some random place and not even in my truck. My new nickname is Stackman kindoff funny I guess.

I did not think about the Muffler issue!! Good point. I want to do wider tires because I like the "chunkier" tire look. I ran 38x15.50 Nitto Mud Grapplers on my H2 and loved the beefier tire look. I just think mine are a little "skinny" for such a big truck. Granted they are an inch wider than the stock 235s, but I just think it would look great with a wider tire and unfortunately, no one is making a 295/60/22.5 for that would be the same overall height as our 255s. Unless you know of anyone making a similar size, 295/75/22.5 seems to be the closest.

I have a pic waiting to be approved that shows the status of my truck so far!
