6" super lift. stacked with a 2 or 3" spacer?
i hear about the death wobble thing. i just dont want to experience that lift on 38s. but i thought since the 6" lift had longer control arms itd be like doing a stock truck and i want to get my front end up a hair its sitting to level.
The death wobble can be eliminated with steering stabilizers. These trucks are heavy enough as it is though so the higher you go the more top heavy you are.
I think 6" is just about stretching the suspension as far as you want to go before you run into drive tran problems. You can go higher but, you'll need to spend more on other components to keep everything in tack.
well the truck is 6" and 355 nittos right now. and the place that did the lift said theyll take the tires back in trade. since they got 100 miles on them. and il get some 38x15.50s. but im just not big on body lifts. even though our trucks dont show hardly any frame as it is. if i could fit a 2" spacer in there and get full 2inch of lift. and then heck maybe add abody lift still. that would be nice.

i made a phone call and they said 350ish. for spacers. longer control arms and lower sway bar mount. to keep ssway bar and osmething else from hitting. and a 2" would be fine. so for 350 i think it would be better than a 3" body lift. price and looks
Yes, 2" above 6" will get rid of the rub but, your carriers barring may suffer along with some rear end components. I'm not trying to discourage you at all.... I want to go higher myself. The problem is to much higher and you'll end up having to fabricate things yourself for the driver tran as most of the lift companies out there don't seem yo put a lot of emphasis in those areas.

Stacking a 2 or 3" spacer on top of a 6" spring is just such a bad idea I wouldn't know where to begin.
Just plan up front on having driveline vibration issues, bad tire wear, steering issues and death wobble.

To up safely, you'll need to go custom IMO. Don't start stacking things together to get the lift you want. I dont know if your superlift has a larger leaf spring in the rear or if its blocks, but if its blocks, I would switch to a smaller block if you want that rake. Unless they are switching the CA mounts around, the geometry is going to be a lot steeper than stock which will constitute to a rougher ride.
A guy in gp has a crew cab long box 04 dodge 3500 ctd, with a 6 inch bds long travel kit stacked with a 2 inch bds spacer he runs 35x13.50 toyo mts, and he runs different ball joints that are off set or degreed so he keeps his wheel allignment correct.
