Anyone have a Triple Dog I can borrow...

...I want to enable some of the programming features (accessory delay, high idle, daytime running lights, etc.) but don't want to take it to the dealer. I don't have the time or the patience for the dealer to jerk me around. As I understand it, this can be done without having to lock the programmer to a particular VIN. Anyone willing to help? I'll buy lunch/dinner/beers/whatever!

I have an '06 and I'm located in Fontana, CA (50 miles east of Los Angeles, 100 miles north of San Diego).

Thanks for the help!

but when you load it onto a truck , the triple dog is useless after that untill you remove the programming from the truck back into it.

Um i have no idea what SRTchris is talking about.

Yes you can use the triple dog to enable features. The VIN lock has no effect on this. if someone in your area has one then you can just plug it in and enable them without having to program your truck. Enabling these features does not put a bullydog program in your truck.

even if a friend of yours has a PSD or Duramax, their triple dog will still work on your truck! Just go to "Vehicle Options" and hit Y on the option you want to enable/disable and it will tell you to hit Y or N to enable or disable the feature.

You should just be able to plug the triple dog in his truck and go to "Vehicle Options" and enable stuff from there.

It really is. When I installed my fog lights they worked (and still do) with the high beams. That feature was already activated from the dealer. I just wish they did the rest!

I have called every bully dog dealer in my area and they all say the same thing. CANT BE DONE without locking the vin of the truck to the program therefore making the programmer useless for any other vehicle. Are they just refusing to do this so I will have to purchase the tripple dog just to get the high idle feature?? I offered to pay just to have them try it.

Please let the rest of us know if it works

The Bully Dog Triple Dog and the Smarty must be VIN locked to enable any options or change the ABS tire size setting. When you remove either of the downloaders completely your settings will return to what they were. At least that is my experience with the two downloaders.
