I have a set of JL 5-1/4" in the rear. I love the sound of them, nice fill spkrs. I prefer to use the rear to fill then to be a main spkr. personal preference.

I have MB quart 6.5" in the front but I have a set of Cerwin Vegas to try out too. I think I will end up with JL's in the front too.
I am also going to phase out my old JBL 4 channel amp and go to the 300/4 JL.
I think their thinking is like mine when I see the power of that amp. It has less rated power to the rears.

I also thought about a cover around the spkrs in the doors. Anyone tried that? An enclosure?

So many choices so little cash.

I also want to do a dvd player so I can get over a thousand songs on a disk. this is all dodgeram's fault.

I always run foam baffle behind my mid/tweets. Tightens the mid and prevents muddy tones from door speakers. Side note...they also keep the speakers clean.

I tried some of those foam baffles...thought they would help keep the sound in the cab, plus protect the backside. Boy, they sure made my speakers sound boomy and muddy, so I removed them. Every situation is different though, so you never know until you try!
