550 hp?

I am shoppin around for turbos right now, callin everyone I can and tryin to decide on what turbo would suite me best. My goal is at least 500 rwhp but I would really like to make 550, anything over that would just be a bonus.

Well to the point, one turbo manufacturer who will remain nameless, told me I could not make 550 horse on my truck with electronics alone, he said unless I did injectors and/or spray of some type 550 was impossible. When I said there are plenty of people makin 550 plus with no injectors or drugs he said you can get a dyno to say what ever you want and he could take a 400 horse truck and outrun what most people are callin 600 hp trucks.

So I thanked him for his time and promply hung up, what do you guys think?
Am I crazy for wanting 550 hp without doin injectors, drugs, or anything internal?

You will need Electronics, Injectors, Turbo, Exshaust, Fass, Gauges. This is what you need to do it right and also will need some clutch or tranny upgrades.

I understand the clutch, (not part of motor) and a suplemental fuel pump (external) and turbo (also external) wich is why I was calling turbo manufacturers. I just didnt think injectors were necessary.

by the way nice job Luken

I was just fixing to throw your numbers out there. 550hp is very doable on electronics alone. Theres a number of people on this board doing just that.

doesn't seem un-reasonable at all from what i've seen. phat shaft 66, clutch, tst, TS MP8 or EZ, and a 200gph FASS.

So the 530 was with just the superchips, ps66, and injectors?

What size are the injectors? (as in hp number)

I'm in the 575-600hp range rite now with the mods listed in my sig. EGT's are in control, spool is fine. and fuel mileage is still in the 20-22mpg range unloaded. Loaded still seeing 15-18mpg (depending on terrain, speed, and quality of fuel) with my Jeep Cherokee in tow.

PM me if you need more info.
