The CP3 is the injection pump that feeds the injectors. You can't get a bigger pump but you can get a modified one from Floor It Diesel...

Check out relentlessdiesel.com and look at their twin setup. When I take the plunge thats what I am going with.there are about a dozen video clips there and some very good info on the research he has done with the cp3 pumps and such!

U can get a bigger one from Industrial Injection they just came out with it. it flows somewhere around 230% more fuel but it also is goin to cost you. for 500-600 hp go with TST-Bully dog, twins, fuel system, dont worry about studs until you blow your stock head, just keep tightening your head, cam and springs, tranny.

Honing weakens the 3rd gen injector and can cause them to crack. The more honing done, the more likely a crack will develope.

Ok say i wanna make 500hp-550hp or even 650hp, i know i am gonna have to upgrade tons of things..

So whats gonna me the BEST turbo upgrade to make this kinda power..

Twins???
Single???

My problem is i do alot of driving and i mean alot, i dont race or sled pull, i just want it to have it, i wanna be able to get up and go when i have to or show off when i wanna.. I want somthing that spools quick, i DONT want somthing thats gonna puff out black smoke 24/7 cause it spools to **** slow.. I need something dependable, reliable for everyday use..

Like i said i drive the crap outta this truck..
Bought on March 5th 2006 and i already have 22,000 miles..

I want somthing that will last..

The only way it's gonna smoke is if you roll hard into the throttle before bost builds. I have no smoke problems if I drive mine in a sane manner. Even with everything cranked up. And for fuel economy, a single huffer will almost allways sip fuel a little slower that twins.

More air in and more air out = lower EGTs My current setup maxes out around 1250 degrees. That's awesome for the kind of power I'm making. When I had the Quad Race/VA C3.2 stack I could reach 1500 degrees!!! That was too scary so I moved over to the TST box. I like my turbo but I still get a little lag on the bottom end. It was a lot less with the Quad/VA but the top end power was also a lot less..
As for the DonM question Botheldiesel, high pressure will cause cracking or cavitation which obviously damages injectors. DonM is probably the most respected injector guy out there. I never had any driveability issues with my stockers but when we sent them to Don to hone them out, he found one to be damaged. I ran my EZ on high for about a year and a half which he consistantly said not to do. I learned my lesson. You don't have to believe me though....

Has anyone had experience with Relentless Diesel, good or bad? Looking closely at the twin turbo setup they have.

I like what I see with Relentless Diesel here is my simple plan
  • install Suncoast, DDT, or ATS tranny
  • install OPIE fuel system that is sitting on the bench.
  • Let Relentless have a shot.

I would love to just do this once and have a rocking truck with dependability and muscle. My main purpose is dependability as I do tow a 14 K gooseneck on occassion and I put some major miles when running.
Last thing I want to do is ruin a really great truck with some stupid modification.
One of the main reasons for staying away from boxes till part of the warrenty was gone and the engine has seen some work.
