Question 5" Turbo-Back Duals from Magnaflow?!!!?

Here is the link: http://www.xtremediesel.com/index.as...l=&strCompare=

Am I mistaken or does it look like there is now a 5" turbo-back dual exhaust system? How much of a difference do duals make versus single when you are talking about the same diameter. I have the 5" turbo back single exhaust and, if I don't do stacks, I might do this, or am I mis-reading something?

If it's single all the way to the muffler then it's not going to be better or worse then stacks.

But the stacks look waaaaaaaaaaaay cooler IMO, do the stacks!!!

That part I knew. What I meant was, would it be any better than my SINGLE 5" Turbo Back?

I agree stacks are cool!

I have duals, and I think they are great, smoke/sound out of both sides, and I think it puts a good balance from the rear of the truck

hope this helps

Looks like you have dual stacks, instead of sticking up their just sticking out.

If that's the case, wouldn't that mean that there was more pressure with one than two and therefore two (since they create less pressure) would allow exhaust to escape faster and therefore reduce EGTs.

No when you put a y-pipe in to split, it slows the exhaust down a ton. It creates backpressure. That's why it doesn't come out as quick as a single.

Plus you have 12 inches of pipe instead of 6. The same amount of smoke is coming out...

I liked the look of 2 stacks... I thought I would be somewhat different and bring them in on each side of the slider. Now everyone and their brother has the SAME EXACT stack setup on their trucks around here. Im about ready to yank them off for the winter at least.
