Yes, the magnaflow does, but the muffler does narrow down to 4" ID. pisses me off, and the magnaflow engineers say it's because the system is designed for stock(not modified trucks), wth boat did they come in on???

My magnaflow turbo back no/cat 5" droned awful. Especially towing but even no towing I was always adjusting the radio volume and talking loud to the passenger. Ripped off the muffler and put on a donaldson 45 incher. Deep tone and you can hear it but not obnoxious.

Hey tcr I have a question? I didn't know that the exhaust on the mangaflow went to 4. My shop knows of the future mods I plan on making will this exhaust hurt me in the long run? I only plan on ending up some where in the 500 to 600 hp range? They didn't seem concerned. I'm asking you cause your post seemed like your not happy with that muffler.

Only the muffler squeezes down to 4", it wouldn't hurt you HP wise, it's just not a true 5" exhaust IMO. I still don't know of a quality 5" muffler that stays 5" internally, I don't care for the cheap big rig mufflers, the mbrp is close but the fluting has got to cause more back pressure than a glasspack magnaflow style. Who knows????

The Flo Pro stayed 5" all the way through but the drone was killing me. I now have a 51" Donaldson that's modified to go 5" all the way and it killed the drone but sounds great...deep and low bark with lots of whistle. Here is a pic of my exhaust exit. You want the exit to go past your bumper or any sheet metal on your truck. That will help with drone as well as soot.

Does anyone know anything about the 5" heartthrob exhaust systems that Summit Racing and Jegs sells? The muffler appears to be a true straight-thru design but with a much larger case than the MBRP.
