Which 5" exhaust of these should I get for what I want
Any exhaust with stainless 409 will get rust. My Silverline has done the same thing. I hope it is just sruface and the rest holds up for a long time. I put the 5" turbo back Silverline on in the fall and just swapped oout the muffler with 51" Donaldson as it was to load for my liking. If you keep the truck under 2k it is tolerable. The 2k RPM is when the tone is just irritating. The Donaldson muffler sounds loud enough outside of the truck but muffled enough inside to not aggrevate me. I am glad I changed the mufflers.
Can't answer that for sure as I did not install it. Weather it does or doesn't I'm still real happy with the sound and performance. If it does is that bad? Maybe thats why it deep but no cab drown too... I don't know.
so I plan to get me a new 5" exhaust, turbo and turbo mount brake.. any problems with wanting to do this as in fitting things?? will go either pac or jacobs for the brake and II for the turbo... looking at the ss series.
None for the stock turbo but I had to do a little trimming for the HTB2 and a little more for the 62/71/13ss though. As far as the exhaust goes, I went with an aluminized system. I do not like to spend time under the truck polishing on stainless. It's ridiculous unless you live in Arizona or Las Vegas the stainless will need constant care. My aluminized has been on for over 2 years now and no problems whatsoever.
Here is a pic of my Pac and the HTT62.

Because if you don't it looks like crap in my opinion. Even worse than aluminized. The reason for stainless serves two purposes. The first being it lasts longer and the second is it looks nicer, when kept up. Think about the stock exhausts though. They last well past the 100k range. Then think about the price difference between an aluminized mild steel and stainless.
Yes, our trucks use a low grade stainless, I think it's 409, but there are a lot of mild aluminized steel exhaust systems out there that go 100k plus. If you like stainless because it's "stainless" then go with it. It's all in your own opinion. Mine is as I stated.
