the piaa 510's fit perfectly in the road armor bumpers. there is just enough room to adjust the beams up/down and to allow bulb replacement. imo spend a couple of extra $$ and get the piaa's that fit perfectly, work good, and look great.

Pilot PL-360C lights would probably work 4" in diameter or for a little more room for adjusting lights Pilot PL-330B would work 3-1/8" in diameter. Decent quality and definitely cheaper than PIAA's or KC Hilites.

When you told me three of the four that you have went bad that really made me want something else. Thanks prattman I think Ill try the PL-195c driving lights, there less than $60 a pair at AutoZone! They have almost the same dimentions as the Piaas do! Thanks again guy!

Shane,

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your lights. I’ve got 2 driving and 2 fogs by PIAA running right now and I’ve had them for 6 or 7 months now. I run the drivers as my daytime running lights so they are on all the time. So far no issues, but now you’ve got me worried. What’s happened with yours? Are they physically broken from rocks, or what?

Thanks

Bill

are the lights themselves shot? wiring issues? switch problem? bulb issues? i had a deal where the bulb in one of my fogs blew a couple of times and piaa sent me free replacements until problem was resolved.

Nope I have gone through them and there isn't a rock chip at all.. Here's what I have done... My first pair I put each one on the outside holes in the bumper so the outer two are wired together then the next two are wired together(inside ones).. So first two to go bad were the driver's side???? HUH??? they are wired completely seperate?? but the passenger side lights still work.. Then I was out trying to find what was up and turned them on and now just one of them works on the passenger side... No rock chips at all I haven't hit a deer at all again!!.. I am totally lost on the deal... NOT happy that's for sure...

I've got a set of the 510's also and so far so good, the fit is pretty tight but looks good. I got mine from the 165.00 ebay dude, even with 20.00 shipping was the cheapest I could find. Just be careful, he ended up sending me the amber fog instead of the super white driving, even though the auction said the super white driving, figured I wanted a set of both eventually so I just kept them.

I'll be watching this also about Luv's lights that are T.U.

look in the instructions and they will tell you how to loosen the side screws (loosen but don't remove!) and remove the bulbs. the lights are not permanently sealed and bulb replacement is totally normal. you may just have some burned out bulbs which you can buy anywhere piaa lights are sold or piaa will replace for free if they are less than one year old. some piaa cust reps are way more cool about sending out free replacements than others... good luck.
