Road Armor Bumper ???

They told me 3 weeks to fab it up and ship it. Should I believe them? I know there were issues with them taking forever but they say it has all been fixed now.

I am pretty sure it will take longer. Road Armor has had some issues. They tried to get TDK out of Moore Montana to build thier bumpers because TDK could build them cheaper and faster. TDK said no. Road Armor is hurting and I am not sure how or why, but I know they are. I wouldn't count on 3 weeks.

I've been looking at ordering one myself. The guy promised me 3 weeks max and if it took longer than that I would be refunded for the shipping and recieve free lights.

My guess is it will take longer, mine did but if it does and they give you free shipping and lights that would be worth it to me. They shipped mine for free because it took so long.

They got that deal for 1699 you get a bumper, 4 PIAA's and a 8.5k winch. I really dont need a winch but I am getting ready to rebuild the front of my truck from deer damage and the ins. would cover about 1/2 the cost.

Is this on their website now, or did you call to get that deal?

<edit> nevermind, found it on their website. good deal especially if it actually gets there on time.

He called. They have three specials right now; $999 for a raw bumper with no lights or winch, $1699 for a raw bumper with lights and a winch, or you can buy either of the two bumpers above with the addition of a rear bumper and get $1 shipping.

I think I am going to order the bumper only raw and have it sprayed with Line-X. I guess we will see if they take 3 weeks like they said. She did say it would ship out of Florida but I thought they were based out of Texas?

Isnt there a pic floating around of a Road Armor bumper with a SRT-10 hood? I think they will go good together but I am not sure.

they recently moved their HQ from washington state to texas. you will probably not get your bumper in 3 weeks, but they will comp you stuff like $450 worth of piaa 510's and shipping, and saving around $600 sure softened the blow of having my bumper take so long. my bumper has held up well for the 1 1/2 years i've had it, and saved me almost $1000 compared to the fab fours bumper that i had been considering.

If you dont mind telling me, who did you talk to for that price? She said 1195 + shipping for a raw bumper and thats the best deal they have going on right now. I need to order this thing up soon but I may look at another type of bumper.

wow, that's long- even for road armor! i hope they're throwing you lots of free stuff (piaa's and shipping) for the trouble. iirc, mine was promised in 2 weeks, and received in about 10.

You better throw in some cash for a spring spacer, front airbags or something else to deal with the 750 lbs you are going to add to the front....

Unless the 8.5 is winch blocked up...it won't move a really stuck full size truck very well.

There is a way to may a STRONG plate bumper using 10 ga...so the darn thing does not weigh so much...wonder why they have not figured it out. Good design and not just excess. Maybe they would buy plans form me.
