i have an 04 which i am understanding to have the smaller cast elbow than the 04.5's and newer CTD's. i have heard/read that the 4" elbow can be purchased and installed. is it worth the money on a fairly stock motor? i will have a chip soon, but for now it only has a 4" straightpipe, BHAF (tomorrow) and tone ring mod. any thoughts? thanks

 

Your truck may have the 4" in 4" out elbow so you should measure it first. If it's 3.5" on the bottom side then yes it's worth switching over if you have 4" exhaust from the elbow back..

You can check ebay or find a shop that has done some exhaust brakes on a 325/600 engine. I have mine (bought the bigger clamps at a Freightliner dealership) and ready to go when I install the 5" Magnaflow #15989 system.
