4.4 is back baby!!! Thanx Bob

After trying the 4.11 again, which rocks and runs super cool. I finally got the 4.4 loaded on my lil' Smarty buddy again. I could not reload it last time cause I saved it like a moron. This time I saved it to my C drive in its own file, and today I will go buy a lil' flash drive & put it on that as well. I will store the flash under my flesh in my left forearm.

Thanx Bob!

Loaded it back on today. I notice that with the 4.4 you just touch the pedal and accelerate along nicely. With my mods, and the 4.11/moderate, a mild black haze (I only ran level). With the 4.4/level 9, it cruises w/o the black haze and much less pedal. 4.4 runs a tad hotter, so 4.11 is a great tune for anyone the feels the need for lower EGT's and great power. But 4.4 wins out on power with my truck.

Probably sharing info most people all ready know, but I have a short attention span. So tomorrow I can read this thread, forget that I wrote it, and say; ''whoa, groovy."

I'm with you, the 4.4 runs beautifully on my truck, sw 5 for DD, sw7 or 9 for playing around, cant drive too much on those levels though, they are super touchy and it makes my foot hurt trying to barely tap the gas to go and keep certain speeds.

ya all 4.4 here. Switched to the 4.11 to try it out, yes lower egt's but sop dyno goes to the beta hands down much more fun to drive, plus keeps tail gaters a little further behind..

Iam going to dyno this weekend, what sw should I run with my mods. I have beta 4.4 right now but i was wondering if I should switch to 4.11 with aftermarket turbo and inj. or justr stay with the 4.4. I also don't know if i should run on 9 or 7. Any advice?

I tell ya, the 4.4/level 9 is totally streethappy on my truck. Less smoke, touchier throttle, but still easy to drive. I remember I tried 4.11/wild before going on vacation to the central coast. There are lots of delicious beers on tap around the central coast, so the wife would do lots of driving (I am not a raging alcoholic, I like a couple pints w/all the fish & chips I eat for dinner and lunch while on vacation). She did not hang with the wild torque management at all. 4.4 she cruises fine.

I say run the 4.4 level 9. I think all the betas make more power than the regular tunes. I THINK that before Bob/Marco will share the betas with people, they want the user to have tranny/clutch upgrades, intake/exhaust, and I THINK that is it.

I keep on capitalizing THINK to cover my bum in case I am off.

I would say run sw 9 4.4 at your own risk. I see you have some good mods, but no billet shafts or parts for the tranny besides a converter and shifkit. The 4.4 is capable of producing massive power, the only limiting cap is what mods are present on the truck.

I got 4.4 from bob a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I will probably run that but I was wondering if anyone new if the 4.4 is ok with aftermarket sticks or if I would be better run the normal aftermarket turbo and inj. SW.
I just put these bosio nozzles on today and the timing rattle was a little excessive on the odd SW's so I am running the even's on 4.4 which seems fine. I don't know. I guess I'll try a few tomarrow. I feel like I am rambling because it's late.

The 4.4 will work fine man, don't fret. The timing rattle is known, but shouldn't be excessive.

I am aware of the risks... I will pray for my shafts for now. I am trying to make up my mind on what to do for a tranny. I may have to hurry and decide after this weekend.

Agree with all of the above, 4.4 rocks! Controlled smoke, great throttle response, great power, egt's are higher than 4.11 but dont get anywhere near out of control and i'm on a stock turbo.....i've had it for my daily driver for 15k+ miles....loving every minute of it!
