33 X 12.5's.....what to get

I'm wanting to start personalizing my truck this summer. I've got an 03 long bed quad cab 4x4. I'd like to put some 33 x 12.5 size tires on some new wheels. I'd like to keep the 17" wheel size but get some new ones. Who makes a tire that size? I'm looking for an all terrain type tread as this is mostly a road truck. Any pictures of trucks with this size of tire?
I'd like to get the BFG AT's but they only come in 285's which I think is a little smaller than what I'd like to get.
After the tires are done I want to delete the muffler, chrome exhaust tip, fiberglass shell (need it for my electrial business) and a mild performance box.

let the bombing begin

285's should be virtualy identical to a 33X12.50. They measure 32.8" tall and 11.5" wide...aweful close.

I believe procomp makes an actual 33X12.50/17 in their AT tread. Mickey Thompson may as well..they have a couple new AT type tires now.

BFG ATs come in 315-70/17. That's around 34" tall and about 12.5" wide I think.
Check my gallery.......

I have 33's right now, next time I will probably go 315's (35's).

I have the ProComp All Terrains.
To save money, next time I am going to try Courser CT's from Mastercraft.

I have been very luck in the fact that there is a local company that customizes H2 exclusively. The sell me the take offs for $150 - $200 a set of 5. I would say, start looking for companies like this that do the same thing. There a a few here in So Cal.

Cooper tires makes a 33/12/17 in an all terrain tire and they make a 285/70/17 in a more aggressive tread.

I have the 33x12.5 ProComps but, in a mud terrain, I love em and have 55,000 miles on them right now - they are in need of replacing soon but, my stubborness wants to make it to 60,000 miles - I'm not sure if they will make it but, by far the best tire I have ever owned and I go through them quickly at driving about 45,000 miles a year. If it says anything for the ProComps I am going to buy the exact same tires again, no question. The 33x12.5 are about the same height as the 285 but, as pointed out already, are an inch wider than 285s, definately worth the extra inch if you are off road like me a lot.

I run the Mastercraft Courser C/T's in LT33x12.50R17 and have been very pleased with them. Their parent company is Cooper...great tires and I've sold about 7 or 8 sets of the Courser C/T's in the 33's and around 3 sets of the C/T's in 35's since May or so.

I just put on 285/70/17 BFG M/T's on my truck a week ago and they measure darned near 33" tall. They fit perfectly and they look great, too. I've had good luck with BFG M/T's in the past on my offroad trucks but this is the first time for a daily driver.

I have Mastercraft Courser C/T 315's that measure up to be about 34 1/2". Does a nice job of filling up the wheel wells.
