3" lift

Howzit!
My plan at this point is to piece my own lift kit together. I am thinking of 3" custom VR coils in front, 1.5" blocks in rear, Bilstiens, and a Thuren track bar. Will fab my own stabilizer abd sway drops. My question is, will longer control arms and a longer pitman be neccesary on a front 3" lift for proper suspension geometry? What is the limit? Anyone else have a similiar setup?

control arms will be fine, but a pitman arm may be in order. when you do the pitman arm, you will need to do a track bar bracket as well- i would also do extended links instead of drop blocks, as the factory end links are a definite weak link in the system. remember that bilsteins come in 0-2" lift, and 2"-4" lift (i think those #'s are right), and 4 wheel parts sells individual lift components, which can help you in piecing this together.

I put a carli 3" lift in mine.coils in front and leafpack in rear, also kept the stock spacers in the rear(carli says remove 2 of them). you wont need a pitman arm but definately will need a trac bar to put tour differential back where it belongs as it will move offset from the lift.

Not true you can run without a track bar but it is a welcome addition
