Fact or Crap?
Fact or Crap?
So theres this guy i know who just recently purchased an 05' dodge Quad Cab Short Bed with the CTD, AT, & 2 wheel drive. He has a cold air intake, exhaust kit, and a programmer (oddly couldn't tell me what kind). He is going around telling people that he is getting 40mpg highway/ 30 mpg city. Is this possible or is he trying to fool people.

its simple with the "programmer" it has his in cab display reading 40mpg as the programmer throws it way off. He's apparently too dumb to realize that his fuel gauge/ odometer is the only way to accurately check mileage with a programmer.

ha, i wish... i have a 05, qc/sb, at and mines 4wd. i just break into the 16 mpg range in stop and go traffic- rolling down the highway ill hit 20-21 mpg. straight city im down around 15 or so. tell him i want to see that programmer of his, lol
The sad thing is, if he just told the truth, people would be impressed.
When people comment on my truck and how big it is, I always get a comment about how bad the mileage must be. Of course I tell them its a CumminsTurboDiesel and I get 20mpg on the highway. They always seem surprised. I tell them that diesel is the ORIGINAL alternative fuel.
